Things To Do Near Pratunam & Ratchathewi Station
A half-day loop around our neighbourhood: markets, malls, street food and where to slow down in between.
Phetchaburi Soi 13 sits in one of the most useful corners of Bangkok. Two BTS stations, one of Asia's biggest garment markets and a wall of shopping malls are all within a short walk or a two-minute ride.
Morning: start at Pratunam Market while it is still cool. Wholesale clothing, endless alleys, and some of the best cheap breakfast noodle stalls in the city hidden between the stalls.
Midday: walk to CentralWorld and the surrounding malls for air-conditioning, coffee and people watching. Baiyoke Tower's observation deck is close by if you want the city from above.
Afternoon: come to us. Phetchaburi Soi 13 is a few minutes from BTS Ratchathewi and BTS Phaya Thai — a Lemon Cannabis Tea, a bowl of beef tongue stew and a proper sit down before the evening.
Evening: Ratchathewi's side sois are full of local restaurants that never make the guidebooks, and the airport rail link from Phaya Thai makes this the easiest neighbourhood in Bangkok to end a trip in.
